Quick and Easy Garlicky Whipped Ricotta with Feta
Garlicky Whipped Ricotta and Feta: A simple and delicious cold spread perfect for dipping breadsticks, pizza or even as a stand alone dip!

This recipe is soo good y’all! I hesitate to even call it a recipe because it’s so simple to make, but I just really needed to share it.
Last month my cousin got married in New Orleans and during the weekend there we ordered from a local pizza place. The pizza was delicious but what really stood out was cold ricotta that they served alongside some garlic knots. The combination of those two flavors was so crave-able!
Now I know the combination of garlic and ricotta is not a new thing, but I promise you won’t be disappointed if you make this recipe. This cold whipped ricotta has become one of my new favorite snacks during these hot and humid summer days and I know you will love it, too!
So, let’s get into it!
How to make garlicky whipped ricotta and feta
Gather the ingredients
Ricotta: Of course! I prefer to use whole milk ricotta but either type will work.
Garlic cloves: You’ll want to use fresh garlic for this recipe instead of garlic powder. The fresh garlic gives off a much stronger flavor.
Feta: You can use pre crumbled, but I like to buy a feta block in brine. Pre crumbled feta can be a little bit dry and may not mix as well.
Salt + Pepper
Olive oil or feta brine

In a food processor, combine ricotta, garlic cloves, feta, salt and pepper and pulse until smooth.
Store in the refrigerator until ready to serve!
Tip: If your dip is too thick and not blending smoothly, add in a tablespoon of feta brine (the liquid that the feta block is packaged in) or extra virgin olive oil. The addition of liquid will help combine everything together.
How best to serve garlicky whipped ricotta
On a charcuterie board, I like to serve it simply with a drizzle of olive oil alongside toasted slices of thin baguette or crackers.
Try topping the whipped ricotta with chili crisp oil for a spicy crunch! * This is our favorite way to eat it. Delicious
Serve alongside spaghetti and garlic knots to make the dinner extra special.
Instead of dipping your take-out pizza in garlic butter or ranch, try it dipped in this cold ricotta instead! Bonus, it’ll add a little extra protein to your dinner too.
