Jalapeño and Goat Cheese Guacamole
Jalapeño and Goat Cheese Guacamole- Ya’ll this dip is so good! It’s a creamy twist on the traditional favorite; made with ripe avocados, jalapeños and onions for crunch, lots of lime and of course, tangy goat cheese. This recipe is a MUST for summer entertaining!

This recipe is inspired by a burger topping that we make during summer cookouts. Before trying avocado and goat cheese together, I was a little skeptical on how that flavor combo would work out. I’m so glad I took the chance because I make this guacamole all the time now.
Avocados are one of my favorite foods and I love to experiment with different ways to use them. The flavor combination of goat cheese and avocado is hard to explain until you try it. But just imagine your favorite guacamole made creamy and slightly tangy with the addition of the goat cheese. It’s delicious and I promise you won’t be disappointed!
So let’s get into it!
How to Make Goat Cheese Guacamole
Gather the ingredients
I personally like my guacamole more citrus forward so this recipe uses quite a lot of lime juice. If you prefer a little bit less, you can certainly adjust it. This guacamole is bright and zesty and perfect for summertime entertaining.
Avocados- of course!
How to pick the perfect avocado! When picking an avocado gently press the outer skin. If the avocado feels slightly soft then it’s ripe. You can also remove the stem and check for color. The perfect avocado has just a little give and when the stem is removed, it will reveal bright green.
Red onion- I like to add a little raw red onion for crunch. Red onion also has a more mild onion flavor than white onion so it works great in a dip.
Jalapeño- The addition of jalapeño peppers balances the mild creamy flavor of the avocado and goat cheese. When it comes to how spicy to make your guacamole- choose your own adventure!
Goat cheese- I prefer to use log goat cheese and crumble it myself. Pre crumbled cheese can be a little too dry.
Lime juice
Cilantro- Traditional guacamole has lots of cilantro. If you have someone in your house that despises the flavor however, just leave it out! The lime juice provides lots of fresh flavor on its own.
Salt- Adding a little bit of salt brings out all the flavors.

Step 1: Chop up the veg
Finely dice the red onion and the jalapeños. If you want the guacamole less spicy, remove the seeds from the peppers.
Step 2: Mash the guacamole
Into a bowl, scoop out the avocados and mash them well with a fork. Then add in the goat cheese and mash again. Add the lime juice, cilantro, jalapeno and onion and combine everything well.
Step 3: Serve it up!
Serve the guacamole immediately with pita or tortilla chips.
Can I add garlic? Yes! Garlic is a perfect component in guacamole. If you do decide to add garlic, make sure to use fresh finely minced cloves and add however much makes your heart happy.
What else can I do with goat cheese guacamole? We personally love eating this recipe served on top of grilled burgers. It is also delicious on top of shrimp burgers, fish tacos, fajitas or beef tacos. Don’t be afraid to experiment!
